Why CTET?
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a mandatory exam for teaching positions in central schools in India. Clearing it not only boosts your profile but is a gateway to your dream teaching job.
1. Understand the Syllabus Clearly
Start with the official CTET syllabus. Divide it into sections: Child Development & Pedagogy (CDP), Language I & II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Science or Social Science (based on paper).
2. Focus on Pedagogy – The Game Changer
Pedagogy accounts for 30 marks and is often the decider. Focus on:
- Piaget, Kohlberg, Vygotsky – developmental theories
- Inclusive education & learning styles
- Evaluation techniques and teaching methodologies
3. Use NCERT Books
CTET follows NCERT. For Math, Science, EVS, use Class 1 to 5 (for Paper I) and Class 6 to 8 (for Paper II) books to revise basics.
4. Practice MCQs Daily
Daily practice and self-analysis is key. Focus on mock papers and previous year CTET questions.
5. Time Management Strategy
Each paper is 150 minutes. Your goal is to manage sections smartly:
- CDP: 25–30 min
- Language I & II: 40–45 min
- Subject-specific: 45–50 min
6. My Bonus Tips
- Make short notes of important concepts
